Meet the Directors of the GBSLEP Board.
There are a total of 19 Directors: nine from the business community, seven from local authorities, two representing higher/further education, and one young person representing Greater Birmingham’s 18-30 population. The LEP is business-led and business community representatives have been recruited with the aim of reflecting the geography of the area, different sizes and sectors of commerce and industry, and with due regard to the region’s diversity.
The GBSLEP Board has signed up to a Code of Conduct, based on the Nolan Principles, which includes a clear procedure for registering and declaring interests. Board Directors are shown below, each with a link to a short biography and their individual register of interests.

The GBSLEP Board has agreed a scheme of publication which means that the agendas and papers of the Board, Pillar Boards and Programme Delivery Board (i.e. those parts of the LEP’s structure that are involved in taking investment decisions regarding public money) will be published 5 clear working days before the meeting takes place. The decisions & actions will be published within 10 clear working days of the meetings taking place. Any declarations of interest made at the meetings will be included in the decisions & actions.
GBSLEP may, from time to time, exclude papers from the public domain where grounds exist under The Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012 and in particular under Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972. Where papers are excluded from publication, a cover report setting out the decision(s) to be taken and the grounds for exemption will be published, and a private paper will be circulated to the Board.
