Cllr Ian Hardiman

Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Regeneration, Wyre Forest District Council

Cllr Ian Hardiman is Deputy Leader of Wyre Forest District Council.

Ian’s Cabinet Responsibility is for Planning and Economic Regeneration. Ian was first elected to the District Council in 2010 and now represents the Wyre Forest Rural Ward. In 2011, he retired from employment in the Carpet Manufacturing Industry where he held managerial positions over a period of forty years.

In 2017 Ian was elected as Worcestershire County Councillor for the Cookley, Wolverley, Wribbenhall Division; he is a member of the County Council’s Planning Committee.

Ian is married with two children and six grandchildren; he is an active person who enjoys walking and meeting people and together with his wife is a registered volunteer for Guide Dogs for The Blind.

Ian enjoys watching Rugby and Football and supports his local judo club’s competition events.

Ian also plays guitar in a local dance band.
