Board Director and lead for SMEs and Founder of Winny's Kitchen
Shaun Sookoo is an entrepreneur with a specialism in food and Director of 4 companies; Winny’s Kitchen LTD, Viomar Care Homes LTD, Viomar Property Management and Food Division LTD. Shaun founded the Winny’s Foundation in 2018 which supplies meals to those less fortunate in homeless shelters. His book “45 Things I Didn’t Learn at School” will launch in the Summer.
Winny’s Kitchen
After taking his mum’s home cooking to work as a personal trainer, it wasn’t long before people started asking about them. Shaun started selling them to colleagues to earn some extra money. Talk about the food spread around the local area and this inspired Shaun to create a company and name it after his mum Winny. Requiring more capacity and without financial backing, he sold up down south and relocated his life to Birmingham leaving friends and family behind to make his dream happen of building a household brand. Winny’s is now in 350 Morrison’s stores nationwide and Booths stores in the North-West with next stop being Waitrose and Sainsbury’s.
Food Division
Food Division is a contract catering company that has secured a home office contract to supply thousands of meals per day to refugees in hotels around the country. Shaun has mobilised a new 8000 sqft unit in Tyseley which will be operational by the end of May creating around 30 new jobs in the Birmingham region.
