Local Industry Strategy

Increase people’s earning power and create an inclusive, clean and resilient local economy.

The Local Industrial Strategy for the West Midlands, published in 2019, sets out a long-term vision for the West Midlands to increase people’s earning power and create an inclusive, clean and resilient local economy.

GBSLEP worked closely with its regional partners - the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA), Black Country LEP and Coventry and Warwickshire LEP - and hundreds of local businesses to ensure that the Local Industrial Strategy highlights the significant opportunities that the West Midlands is ideally placed to capitalise on.
