Launched in 2012, the £22.5 million Growing Places Fund has supported the delivery of almost 30 economic development capital projects and activities to stimulate economic growth, such as feasibility studies, through grant and loan funding support.
The initial programme completed with the final two projects delivered in 2020/21; the refurbishment of The Grand Hotel (Birmingham) and the Mezzanine Fund Programme (West Midlands wide).
Through the repayment of loans and grant, this programme was extended and is supporting the Open House project at The REP and Junction Works in Birmingham.
