Meet Theodora Tsang, Project Support Officer at Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership

Tell us about your job, and what your current focus is:

“My role is to support and manage projects within the programme. This involves the application stage, contracting with the legal team, monitoring on a quarterly basis and evaluation when the project is complete. My current focus is on Local Growth Fund (LGF), Enterprise Zone (EZ), and Strategic Economic Plan (SEP) enabling fund projects.”

What are you most proud of achieving at the LEP?

“Getting projects approved, delivered and seeing them impact the region, positively.”

What upcoming event or project in the region are you most looking forward to?

“HS2 being delivered and seeing the transformation it brings to the region.”

What made you want to move to the region, or what made you stay?

“I did my degree at the University of Birmingham and decided it was a good place to find my first job, plus my now husband was just starting his PhD.”

What would be your “specialist subject” on Mastermind?

“Supernatural creatures or super heroes, I can’t decide.”

If you were stuck in a lift with two people, who would you want them to be?

“A Domino’s pizza delivery guy who has pizza to feed us whilst we wait for the lift to be fixed and Phoebe Waller-Bridge who, would be hilarious and have great stories to tell.”

Describe life at the LEP in one word:

“Striving.”
